Department of Public Health Nursing The Department of Public Health Nursing is one of three founding departments established in the Faculty of Public Health since the year 1953. The program curriculum in our department has been developed to serve the national policy in enhancement of an accessibility and accountability of health services, particularly in the remote areas of Thailand. Currently, the philosophy of the department is to produce community nurse practitioners who have academic and research excellence, moral and ethical leadership, ability to apply evidence-based knowledge, and medical and community nursing skills for population health.
Vision: To build a body of knowledge in public health nursing for achieving care synergized to social contexts at both national and international levels.
Mission:
- To provide public health nursing education in graduate level relevant to concordant with Thai social context and international standards
- To conduct research in order to develop contemporary body of knowledge in public health nursing
- To provide academic services for human resource development in accordance with society' needs
- To formulate public health nursing network with multidisciplinary health organizations for strengthening nursing profession at the national and international levels
- To promote and preserve art and culture, local wisdom, and professional ethical conduct
